NIJ Tested Level 3A Bulletproof Masks

Each ballistic mask available through Atomic Defense offers a high level of protection against some of the most common and powerful firearms. Our head and facial protection solutions feature bulletproof Kevlar material for the best chance of preventing injury from bullet fragmentation or penetration. 

These tactical masks undergo testing in our in-house NIJ testing lab to confirm their level IIIA and above status. Level IIIA tests assess protection against .357 SIG FMJ FN and .44 Magnum SJHP rounds. The equipment takes four hits at a zero-degree angle and two at a 35-degree or 45-degree angle. The maximum BFS depth allowed for IIIA qualification is 44mm. 

Level IIIA qualification means these bulletproof masks are ideal in close-combat situations involving handguns. Our masks absorb bullets and feature interior padding to protect the wearer from impact.

Full-Face Masks

Atomic Defense offers two types of bulletproof masks with two lone openings for vision. These masks guard against bullets without using a shield that could potentially fog up. The Ballistic Full Face offers the most protection in close-quarters combat, looping over the forehead, chin, and cheekbones. This tactical ballistic face mask is ideal when mobility is the top priority. Alternatively, our Bulletproof Mask for Helmets cuts lower across the forehead to fit underneath a helmet. Choose this mask in situations that necessitate additional overhead protection. 

Bulletproof Visors and Helmets

Atomic Defense also sells bulletproof visors. You can purchase a ballistic helmet and visor kit that comes with both components or choose a visor by itself that mounts to any helmet with a rail system. The visor locks to three points for a sturdy fit in chaotic environments or riots. The helmets available with these kits feature Kevlar for level IIIA classification.
